Star Alliance carrier Turkish Airlines has significantly dropped prices for Business Class flights from the Czech Republic to China today. You can now book round-trip flights from Prague to Beijing starting at CZK 29,014 (~€1,154) roundtrip. All tickets include 40 kg of checked luggage, as well as lounge access and seat reservation.
This is a semi-flexible fare that can be cancelled before departure for a €300 fee. For date changes, you’d have to pay €150 in addition to any fare difference.
You are welcome to use the form below to book these flights directly at TurkishAirlines.com. For your convenience, we have highlighted all dates with cheap flights for a maximum stay of 28 days:
visa info
Until December 2025, visitors from most European countries can visit China visa-free if the stay does not exceed 30 days. Notable exceptions are the United Kingdom, Czech Republic and Sweden, whose residents will require a visa. Alternatively, they may stay up to 10 days visa-free when continuing to Hong Kong or a third country. See this map for further details.
Routing & On-Board product
On the feeder flight between Prague and Istanbul, there is a 2-2-configuration with comfy leather chairs. The layover in Istanbul usually takes between 80 minutes and 3 hours, providing access to Turkish Airlines’ Business Class lounges.
The long-haul flights from Istanbul to Beijing take 9 to 10 hours each way and are operated by Boeing 777-300 aircraft. They feature 49 Business Class seats in a 2-3-2 configuration that’s quite old-fashioned by today’s standard. The seats do convert to a flat bed with a length of 193 cm. Make sure to reserve a seat early, or you may end up in one of the dreaded middle seats.
Despite not providing a lot of privacy, the seats are actually spacious and comfortable for sleeping. Ditmar was quite happy when he reviewed these (in German). Service can be hit-or-miss with good notes for their catering. For further reviews, you may check Live and Let’s Fly or FrugalFlyer.ca
According to the fare rules, this deal is available until February 2, 2025. The fare requires a minimum stay of 2 nights or a night from Saturday to Sunday. However, for many dates you may have to stay 2 weeks or more.
The inbound flight has to commence no later than 6 months after the outbound flight. Stopovers in Istanbul are permitted free of charge with higher taxes causing a €20 price increase.
You can find your preferred travel dates using our search form above or by using Google Flights (instructions). You can then either go ahead and book with the cheapest OTA through Skyscanner or book directly with Turkish Airlines. We would recommend the latter since the OTA discount is pretty slim anyway. Here are other reasons to avoid third-party providers:
Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?
More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:
Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.
If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.
This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.
Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.
This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.
