On September 2, around 6:50 PM, an aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing at Bournemouth Airport after experiencing an engine failure. Emergency services, including fire crews from Christchurch and Springbourne, were immediately dispatched to the scene as a precaution.
According to a spokesperson for the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS), the crews were on standby in case further assistance was needed by the Airport Fire Service. Fortunately, the aircraft managed to land safely, and there were no injuries among the passengers or crew. The emergency response teams were only required to gather details after the safe landing.
Bournemouth Airport and the South Western Ambulance Service Trust (SWAST) have been contacted for additional information regarding the incident. Details about the aircraft involved have not yet been disclosed.
