The bankruptcy administrator of Montenegro Airlines has put on sale the last Fokker 100 jet owned by the former national carrier at a price of 23.900 euros. The deadline for the submission of bids has been set for February 24. Montenegro Airlines’ long-time CEO, Zoran Djurišić, has suggested for the jet to be acquired by the Montenegrin government and put on display near Podgorica Airport. “This aircraft gave us a significant advantage over Jat Airways, as in 2003 and 2004, Montenegro Airlines carried 65% of the passenger traffic on flights between Montenegro and Belgrade, despite Jat operating nine Boeings”. The bankruptcy administrator had previously successfully sold three units, including 4O-AOL to Dutch jet engine trader and lessor Airline Fleet Support for 85.000 euros, 4O-AOP by the Serbian company Hashtag for 145.000 euros and 4O-AOM to Kenya’s Skyward Express.
